The venture combines two of Africa’s great experiences: Climbing Kilimanjaro and taking a safari on the East African plains. We ascend the mountain via the Umbwe Route to the Arrow Glacier. Known as the most difficult of the non-technical routes, we are treated to steep forest paths, stunning views, and towering cliffs. Due to the challenging nature of this ascent, we are likely to see few others on our route. After reaching Kilimanjaro’s highest point (19,341 feet), we descend the Mweka Route, known for its lush jungle, a stark contrast to the alpine world of Africa’s highest point.
