Undergraduate Leadership Coaching Program
The Undergraduate Coaching Program is an opportunity for Wharton Sophomore students to develop their leadership potential through group and individual coaching, and to shape the undergraduate coaching experience at Wharton. This year-long, 40-hour module for self-directed students is designed to develop leadership skills, foster resiliency, improve communication skills, develop peer-to-peer mentoring relationships, and facilitate career discovery. Communication Advisory Board (CAB) members serve as peer mentors and as an advisory board to the coaching program. In addition, sophomore participants will be instrumental in shaping the current and future program goals and outcomes.
In the fall, coaching program students will participate in a group resiliency workshop and session 1 of a career discovery workshop through Career Services. In the spring, students will have two one-on-one meetings with a professional coach and participate in a communication workshop that culminates in a presentation to a Wharton community audience. They will also take session 2 of a career discovery workshop, and work on their resumes.
Commitment: Participants should expect to commit a total of 20 hours for the Fall semester and 20 hours for the Spring semester. Learn more about the program timeline.
